George Clooney has long been heavily involved in humanitarian causes. In 2008 he founded Not On Our Watch, a nongovernmental organization aimed at relief, humanitarian aid and global attention for human rights violations in Darfur and beyond. He started this group with his Ocean’s Eleven co-stars and other celebrity friends: Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, David Pressman, and Jerry Weintraub. Clooney visited the area personally a number of times, and spoke with victims of rape and torture. Not On Our Watch has donated millions of dollars over the years in aid for those suffering in the region. George Clooney has been knighted in France with the insignia of Chevalier of Arts and Letters.

I never knew that about him! I’m glad I read this because, I admire him even more now! I think his wife is beautiful, intelligent, an international lawyer(I think), I admire her just as much as I admire him! They are quite the couple! This is indeed a match made in heaven!! Best of luck in & for the future for them!! Also with, “NOT ON OUR WATCH”!!
